Terms of Service

Last updated: October 31, 2026

These terms apply to Datios | Form Builder ("the app"), provided by Datios ("we", "us"), when you install it on a Shopify store. By installing the app you accept them.

What the app does

The app lets you build forms, show them on your store with a theme block, and receive what customers send as numbered cases: by email to the people you choose, and in the app's inbox, with their photos and videos kept in your store's Files or on the app's server.

Plans and billing

The free plan and the paid plans differ in how many forms can be active, how many cases a month they receive, whether they take videos and whether you choose how long files are kept on the app's server. When a month's cases are used up, the forms show as not available until the 1st. Paid plans are charged by Shopify with your store's bill, start with a free trial, and can be changed or cancelled at any time. Shopify's billing terms apply to those charges.

Your responsibility

  • You are responsible for the information your forms collect: asking only for what you need, telling your customers how you will use it (the forms can include a consent box with a link to your privacy policy) and answering their requests, as the data protection laws that apply to your store require, such as Law 29733 in Peru.
  • Do not use the forms to collect payment card details, passwords or health information.
  • Check that the recipient emails are right. The app retries emails that fail, but delivery depends on the receiving mailbox: every case is always in the app's inbox.
  • Choose where the photos and videos are kept. In your store's Files they have public links that don't expire; if your forms ask for sensitive documents, keep them on the app's server instead. Download any file you need before its retention period ends.

Availability

We work to keep the app available and correct, but we provide it as is, without warranties of any kind, and we may change or discontinue features. If we discontinue the app, we will tell you in advance through the app or by email, so you can export your cases.

Limitation of liability

To the extent the law allows, we are not liable for indirect or consequential damages, such as lost sales or a case that was not received in time, arising from the use of the app. Our total liability is limited to what you paid for the app in the twelve months before the claim.

Privacy

How the app handles information is described in its privacy policy at /privacy.

Contact and changes

Write to us at hola@datios.com with any question. If we change these terms, we will update this page and its date; continuing to use the app means you accept the new version.
